China's new energy vehicle production reached 16000 units in January

According to the statistics of the factory certificate of conformity for motor vehicles, in January 2016, China produced 16100 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 144%. Among them, 7952 pure electric passenger vehicles were produced, a year-on-year increase of three times, and 4887 plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles were produced, a year-on-year increase of 115%; 2422 pure electric commercial vehicles were produced, a year-on-year increase of 80%, while 834 plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles were produced, a year-on-year decrease of 4%. The first six batches of domestically produced new energy vehicles included in the "Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Exempted from Vehicle Purchase Tax" produced 15500 units, accounting for 97% of the production in January.
